Reggie Perrin rises again

The BBC is set to remake Reggie Perrin, the classic 70’s satire with Martin Clunes as Reggie according to Owen Gibson, media hack at the Guardian.

“The recently appointed controller of BBC1 Jay Hunt said that one of her first acts in the job had been to look into reviving the series The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin.” he writes.

The sitcom was highly influential in its satirical take on the angst of suburban commuter/consumerism. Inspiring, not least, yours truly, the satirical force known as the Suburban Pirate.
